Why aren't humans perfect?

Updated: Oct 7

Kaitlyn sits down with Dr. Daniel Hill to answer this week's question, "How come no one is perfect and how was Jesus perfect, even though humans are not supposed to be perfect?" It may seem obvious that of course humans aren't supposed to be perfect, but what are we missing when we define our humanity by our sinfulness? What if there is more to the story? What does it actually mean to be truly human?

Great, great idea but it's giving adult answers to the kid question. My 8- and 9- year olds' eyes started glossing over after only a couple minutes . . . actually mine, too, and I have an MDiv. I was hoping to have a vehicle that would open discussion with the kids when we couldn't get to "our church" and had to have "home church" some Sundays. It would be nice if both the questions and answers were from the kids' perspectives combined with video similar to the cartoon introduction.

Hi Kaitlyn, I love how you approach theology, and get us thinking more deeply. Thank you! One thing: at around 11:40 in the podcast, I think you may have missspoken—might need to re-record that portion (“how can Jesus be human and still sin”). ❤️Kerry L.
